Ciera Center Captures Two State Titles

Monarch freshman Ciera Center has set two state records at the recent women's diving competition at Santa Rosa Junior College. In the women's one-meter dive, Center topped 16 other individuals, while in the three-meter she bested the field of 16. In addition to becoming state champion, Center was selected as the Women's Diver of the Meet. 

In an interesting twist, the two records she broke were those of her coach, Amy Crayne, who set both points marks six years ago. As noted on the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) website, "Crayne gets the distinction of being both a 3C2A diving double champion and Diving Coach of the Meet.
